Becoming an energy practitioner & spiritual coach has been a lifelong journey. As a child, I was deeply spiritually connected. I thought everyone saw and felt energy and had dé jà vu moments or premonitions and dreams. As I got older, I learned to keep that part of myself quiet and tried to shut down that connection in favor of academics and the scientific method (I still love science and data!).

In pursuing my own healing and happiness, first through traditional therapy and later through energy work, I found the power of forgiveness, compassion, and, ultimately, more freedom - freeing me from the weight of caring more about how others felt about me (and my “woo woo” abilities) than how I felt about myself. This has given me much more access to joy and presence.

Along that journey I became a sociologist, hoping to help heal society and indulging my deep curiosity about and care for the human condition. For 7 years I taught at universities, meeting wonderful colleagues and students from all over the world. This gave me glimpses of how much we can learn from each other about ourselves. I authored several sociological research articles and a book. I put my faith in the power of data and information as education. Yet, I couldn’t shake a persistent sadness. After 7 years of working I was unfulfilled, exhausted, and disillusioned. I suffered migraines and had to put in so much work to be just “okay.” However, I didn’t know who I was if I wasn’t an academic. It was my identity.

After having children, my perspective and priorities shifted. I opened back up to Spirit. I said “yes” to my inner spiritual calling and left academia. I cofounded and directed a nonprofit designed to support families, especially mothers, during the transition to parenthood and the postpartum period. Meanwhile, my husband and I began restorative practices on my ancestral family farm, healing the land. I began to shed my academic skin so that I could grow into myself.

I trained with the Light Body School of Shamanic Energy Medicine with the Four Winds Society. I then pursued vibrational sound therapy with Lisa Alexander. I am a certified Chopra Total Wellbeing coach, meaning I am certified in teaching Primordial Sound Meditation and Ayurvedic Lifestyle and am a wellbeing coaching. From my Catholic upbringing and personal deep dives into studies of mystics to my training in indigenous spiritual practices and Vedic traditions, I operate in the space of the Divine where we are all One. God/Source/Great Spirit has no limitations.
