Becoming an energy practitioner & spiritual coach has been a lifelong journey. We are all born connected and spiritual to some degree. I was always aware of being deeply spiritually connected. I thought everyone saw and felt energy and had dé jà vu moments or premonitions and dreams. I think more of do than admit it. Like many others, I learned to keep that part of myself quiet and tried to shut down that connection in favor of academics and the scientific method. I still love science and data!

In pursuing my own health and happiness, I found the power of forgiveness, compassion, and, ultimately, more freedom. In particular, I found the freedom from the weight of caring more about how others felt about me (and my “woo woo” abilities) than how I felt about myself. This inner freedom is something I try to share with others- learning how to thrive on our self-authority rather than borrowed approval. Self-trust and self-worth has given me much more access to joy and presence than the exhausting pursuit of people pleasing. Authenticity allows true connection.

Along the way, I became a sociologist, hoping to help heal society and indulging my curiosity and care for the human condition. For 7 years I taught at universities, meeting wonderful colleagues and students from all over the world. I authored several sociological research articles and a book. I put my faith in the power of data and information as education. Yet, I couldn’t shake a persistent discontent. After almost two decades of working in and studying sociology, I was unfulfilled, physically exhausted, and disillusioned. I suffered migraines and had to put in so much effort to be just “okay.”

After having children, my perspective and priorities shifted with newfound clarity. I opened back up to Spirit. I left academia. I cofounded and directed a nonprofit designed to support families, especially mothers, during the transition to parenthood and the postpartum period. Meanwhile, my husband and I began restorative practices on my ancestral family farm, healing the land. I began to shed my academic skin so that I could grow into myself.

I trained with the Light Body School of Shamanic Energy Medicine with the Four Winds Society. I then pursued vibrational sound therapy with Lisa Alexander. I am a certified Chopra Total Wellbeing coach, meaning I am certified in teaching Primordial Sound Meditation and Ayurvedic Lifestyle and am a wellbeing coaching. From my Catholic upbringing and personal deep dives into studies of mystics to my training in indigenous spiritual practices and Vedic traditions, I operate in the space of the Divine where we are all One. God/Source/Great Spirit has no limitations.
